CVBL: San Antonio Stumbles, Utah Win
"Utah Cheat San Antonio," screamed the headlines this morning after some questionable officiating in last night's contest. Even neutral observers wonder whether the set of refs will ever be asked to call another game, as Utah got the benefit of every marginal call and a few others that were obviously bad. "The game was rigged more than the WWF," said an upset San Antonio coach Bob after the game. "You've seen the replays. I don't need to say any more." League officials were slower to jump to conclusions, but an anonymous source said that the commissioner was watching the broadcast and couldn't believe his eyes in some cases. "The commish was saying he could have made better calls off his 5 inch travel TV."
Utah was led by Henderson (22 points, 21 boards, 1 assists, a steal, a block), Jackson (24 points, 4 assists, a steal), Lacroix (24 points, 8 boards, 0 assists). San Antonio was led by Feaster (26 points, 10 boards, 1 assists, a block), Mackey (18 points, 2 assists, 4 steals, 2 blocks), Almanzar (8 points, 12 assists).
Utah improve to 1-1. They improve to #3 in the Northwest and improve to #9 overall in the Western Conference. After this loss, San Antonio stand at 1-1 and 0-1 at home. They fall to #4 in the Southwest and move down to #8 overall in the Western Conference.
