CVBL: Denver Downs Miami
Denver looked like champions today, beating Miami 105-83. "That's the best we've seen them for a while," said an overwhelmed Miami coach Bob. "None of the tapes we had of them showed the fluid execution that we saw out there today, and frankly we just weren't prepared as well as they were. I take full responsibility for that; with better preparation we could have won. Instead they just took over the game and never let us back in."
Denver was led by Ferguson (20 points, 13 boards, 4 assists, 6 blocks), Banks (24 points, 5 boards, 2 assists, 2 steals, 3 blocks), Schmidt (17 points, 3 assists, a steal). Miami was led by Keeney (13 points, 9 boards, 2 assists, a steal, a block), Delling (5 points, 5 steals), Lisa (14 points, a steal, 2 blocks).
Denver are now 1-1. They remain at #2 in the Northwest and move up to #8 overall in the Western Conference. Miami stand at 1-1 and 1-1 at home. They move down to #2 in the Southeast and move down to #7 overall in the Eastern Conference.
