CVBL: Washington Wins

Slumping Brooklyn lost yet another game last night, falling to Washington 127-121. Brooklyn coach Bob could not be located after the game, and there was an unconfirmed report that he could be done with Brooklyn. Rumors are that another loss to hated Washington could be the end of the line for the coach. Fans and players are beginning to get fed up, especially with losses in big games like today's. We'll have more on this story as it develops.

Washington was led by Long (21 points, 9 boards, 3 assists, 2 steals), Brown (14 points, a steal), Harrington (22 points, 12 boards, 0 assists). Brooklyn was led by Duncan (27 points, 10 boards, 2 assists, a block), Calixte (16 points, 3 steals), Gray (16 points, 9 boards, 3 assists).

Washington improve to 1-1 with the victory. They improve to #1 in the Southeast and advance to #3 overall in the Eastern Conference. Brooklyn are now 1-1 and 1-1 at home with the defeat. They drop to #3 in the Atlantic and move down to #8 overall in the Eastern Conference.
