CVBL: Houston Defeats Toronto 118-110
Houston, led by Lewis, got the critical win in today's matchup against Toronto. After the game, the Houston star was surrounded by would-be interviewers, a not uncommon sight recently as he has moved into a leading role on his team. After taking a few questions, he met his long-time friend, Toronto's Jensen, who had played his heart out during the game only to come up short. "It's always tough when we play, he said. I always like to see him do well, and vice versa. But we can't both come out winners as long as we're on different teams." Rumors continue to circulate about the two friends trying to find their way onto the same team.
Houston was led by Lewis (27 points, 6 boards, 0 assists, a block), Miller (5 points, 16 assists, a steal), Thompson (14 points, 14 boards, 1 assists). Toronto was led by Jensen (22 points, a block), Battle (18 points, 16 boards, 0 assists), Harding (10 points, 1 assists, 3 blocks).
With this win, Houston improve to 1-0. They advance to #1 in the Southwest and move up to #3 overall in the Western Conference. Toronto are now 0-2 and 0-2 at home. They stay at #4 in the Atlantic and fall to #13 overall in the Eastern Conference.
