CVBL: 99-77 Atlanta

Laws was unstoppable today, leading Atlanta to a 99-77 win over LA Clippers. "I've never seen anything like that," said LA Clippers star Edmonds. "Laws just flat-out dominated, and there was nothing any of us could do about it." Agreed coach Adnan Bislimovic, "He's an excellent talent with an excellent coach. I'm afraid that we'll be seeing more of him down the road."

Laws refused to get caught up in the excitement, however. "I just did what coach told me to do," he said. "And we couldn't have won without my teammates doing their best as well." While true, Laws certainly increased the margin of victory from a close call to a solid win.

Atlanta was led by Laws (17 points, 8 boards, 0 assists, 5 blocks), Baker (27 points, 0 assists, a steal, a block), Monnett (9 points, 7 assists, 2 steals, a block). LA Clippers was led by Edmonds (5 points, 13 boards, 5 assists, 5 blocks), Jenkins (15 points, 5 boards, 0 assists, a block), Downs (14 points, a steal, a block).

With today's victory, Atlanta improve to 1-1. They improve to #3 in the Southeast and move up to #8 overall in the Eastern Conference. LA Clippers stand at 0-1 and 0-1 at home. They fall to #4 in the Pacific and fall to #13 overall in the Western Conference.
