CVBL: Minnesota Needs Overtime to defeat Boston

Minnesota and Boston put on a terrific show today, but Minnesota came out on top 123-111. Said coach Bob after the game, "It's one of those games that you almost hate to see anyone lose. Both teams left it all out there, and I didn't want to see it finish. But in the end, we made a couple more big plays in overtime, and that made the difference."

Minnesota was led by Jaramillo (28 points, 19 boards, 2 assists, a block), Nordman (20 points, 6 boards, 4 assists, 3 steals, a block), Walz (12 points, a steal, a block). Boston was led by Flournoy (22 points, 7 boards, 2 assists, a steal, a block), Odell (20 points, 9 boards, 4 assists, a block), Stubbs (19 points, 7 boards, 3 assists).

Minnesota are now 1-0 and 1-0 at home with today's victory. They advance to #2 in the Northwest and advance to #6 overall in the Western Conference. With the loss, Boston fall to 0-2. They remain at #5 in the Atlantic and fall to #12 overall in the Eastern Conference.
