CVBL: Toronto Beats Washington 111-103

Toronto came out on top in an exciting game against Washington. "I'm sure it was a dream game for the fans, with the result in the balance down to the end," said Toronto coach Bob. "But these sorts of games give me gray hair."

Bob and his counterpart, Washington coach Bob, brought out the best in their teams. "Not a lot of mistakes from either side," said Bob. "That's what I like to see. Of course, I'd like to see us win as well but only one team can do that. Toronto just played better, and we have to tip our hats to them."

Toronto was led by Wright (18 points, 17 boards, 0 assists, 6 blocks), Jenkins (13 points, 8 assists, 3 steals), Day (18 points, 2 assists, a steal). Washington was led by Borenstein (33 points, 14 boards, 1 assists, a steal), Shuler (8 points, 5 boards, 9 assists, 3 steals), Lemon (17 points, a steal, a block).

Toronto improve to 1-2 and 1-1 at home. They hold at #4 in the Atlantic and advance to #10 overall in the Eastern Conference. Washington drop to 1-1. They drop to #3 in the Southeast and drop to #9 overall in the Eastern Conference.
