CVBL: Philadelphia Coasts Past San Antonio
Philadelphia dominated San Antonio today, winning by a final score of 111-92. Although the score was 0-0 at the start of the game, Philadelphia quickly took charge and, aside from brief flurries of activity by San Antonio, were never really threatened. "We were schooled out there," said San Antonio coach Bob. "I mean it wasn't a blowout, but they sure were in control the entire game. [Philadelphia coach] Bob did a great job getting his team ready for the game, and Jakes was nearly unstoppable."
Philadelphia was led by Jakes (14 points, 2 steals, a block), Roberson (17 points, 10 boards, 1 assists), Parker (17 points, 6 boards, 0 assists, 3 blocks). San Antonio was led by Almanzar (15 points, 9 assists, 4 steals), Lanham (11 points, 16 boards, 3 assists, 2 blocks), Logan (17 points, 6 boards, 2 assists, 2 blocks).
Philadelphia improve to 2-1 and 1-0 at home with the victory. They improve to #1 in the Atlantic and move up to #2 overall in the Eastern Conference. San Antonio are now 1-2. They remain at #4 in the Southwest and move down to #9 overall in the Western Conference.
