CVBL: Brooklyn Cruises Past New York
Brooklyn looked like champions today, beating New York 112-96. "That's the best we've seen them for a while," said an overwhelmed New York coach Bob. "None of the tapes we had of them showed the fluid execution that we saw out there today, and frankly we just weren't prepared as well as they were. I take full responsibility for that; with better preparation we could have won. Instead they just took over the game and never let us back in."
Brooklyn was led by Alex (19 points, 15 boards, 2 assists), Lee (19 points, 10 boards, 3 assists, a steal, a block), Spring (24 points, a steal). New York was led by Crawford (18 points, 2 blocks), Powell (16 points, 11 boards, 0 assists), Speight (10 points, 5 boards, 4 assists, a steal).
With today's win, Brooklyn jump to 3-0. They advance to #1 in the Atlantic and advance to #1 overall in the Eastern Conference. New York fall to 2-1 and 1-1 at home. They move down to #2 in the Atlantic and drop to #5 overall in the Eastern Conference.
