CVBL: Bob Satisfied With Sacramento Win
Sacramento beat Brooklyn by a score of 113-90, even catching some fans off guard. "We knew the lines in Vegas listed us as favorites," said Sacramento coach Bob. "And we knew we had a great shot going in, but really expected a more competitive game. I don't know whether we were really that good or whether they had something else on their minds. Whatever, we're thrilled to get this kind of win over an excellent team like Brooklyn."
Said Brooklyn star Garcia, "Coach kept yelling at us 'you know you're better than that,' and he was right. We just didn't have the intensity or whatever today, and it showed in our game. The good thing is that we know we can't play much worse than we did out there, and that we could have won if we'd played as good as we're capable of playing."
Sacramento was led by Weaver (7 points, 7 assists, 3 steals), Gould (19 points, 6 boards, 0 assists), Crandell (13 points, 4 assists). Brooklyn was led by Garcia (15 points, 2 blocks), Calixte (16 points), Fletcher (10 points, 7 boards, 2 assists).
After today's victory, Sacramento are now 3-1. They remain at #2 in the Pacific and move up to #5 overall in the Western Conference. Brooklyn stand at 2-2 and 2-2 at home. They stay at #3 in the Atlantic and drop to #9 overall in the Eastern Conference.
