CVBL: Sacramento Over Utah 91-84
Sacramento came out on top in an exciting game against Utah. "I'm sure it was a dream game for the fans, with the result in the balance down to the end," said Sacramento coach Bob. "But these sorts of games give me gray hair."
Bob and his counterpart, Utah coach Coach Young, brought out the best in their teams. "Not a lot of mistakes from either side," said Coach Young. "That's what I like to see. Of course, I'd like to see us win as well but only one team can do that. Sacramento just played better, and we have to tip our hats to them."
Sacramento was led by Stanford (10 points, 23 boards, 6 assists, 2 steals, 3 blocks), Bravo (34 points, 8 boards, 0 assists, 2 blocks), Sherrill (20 points, 5 boards, 3 assists, a steal, 3 blocks). Utah was led by Feaster (25 points, 15 boards, 1 assists, a block), Cummings (13 points, 5 boards, 1 assists, 4 blocks), Jones (12 points, 0 assists, a block).
Sacramento are now 3-0. They hold at #1 in the Pacific and remain at #2 overall in the Western Conference. Utah drop to 1-2 and 0-1 at home. They move down to #4 in the Northwest and drop to #12 overall in the Western Conference.
