CVBL: Dallas Over Minnesota

Dallas downed Minnesota today 102-95, thanks to a solid effort by star Hobbs. The game lived up to its hype, with both teams having their moments but neither side able to dominate for any extended length of time. Said Hobbs after the game, "This one could have easily gone either way. We're just glad that we came out with the win." Coach Bob echoed the sentiments, saying "Minnesota came out strong and ready to play, and we knew from the start that it would be a battle out there. Probably if we played them 10 times, both sides would get five wins. But we got the win today, and that's what counts."

Minnesota players were disappointed after the game, and coach Bob had his hands full keeping their spirits up. "They know they played their hearts out today, and that it wasn't enough. That's a tough feeling. Especially for Dirks, who had one heck of a game but couldn't carry the whole team on his shoulders."

Dallas was led by Hobbs (11 points, 23 boards, 2 assists, 2 blocks), White (13 points, 7 boards, 2 assists, a steal), Olguin (8 points, a block). Minnesota was led by Dirks (25 points, 10 boards, 4 assists, a steal, 2 blocks), Lundy (10 points, 7 boards, 2 assists, 2 blocks), Thomas (14 points, 0 assists, 2 steals).

After this victory, Dallas are now 1-2. They hold at #5 in the Southwest and improve to #11 overall in the Western Conference. Minnesota fall to 2-3 and 1-1 at home with this defeat. They drop to #4 in the Northwest and fall to #13 overall in the Western Conference.
