CVBL: Brooklyn Beats Milwaukee 105-97
Milwaukee failed to make the most of their chances, coming up short 105-97 against Brooklyn in today's contest. "They got a gift, no question in my mind," grumbled Milwaukee coach Bob. "We outplayed them today, but just couldn't come up with the big plays when we were threatening to score. I just can't wait until the rematch; we'll show them who's really the best."
Brooklyn coach Bob saw things a little differently. "I'm proud of our defensive effort today. They avoided giving up the big plays, and really came through in the key situations. Bob may blame his offense, but they'd have been able to score if they didn't have good opposition."
Brooklyn was led by Alves (21 points, 15 boards, 0 assists, a block), Lee (23 points, 10 boards, 2 assists), Fuller (16 points, 0 assists, 4 blocks). Milwaukee was led by Botts (26 points, 9 boards, 0 assists, a steal, 2 blocks), Wilson (11 points, 3 steals), Fiore (26 points, 5 boards, 1 assists, a block).
