CVBL: Portland 107, Oklahoma Cty 106

The fans got what they came out for, as Portland won a seesaw 107-106 victory over Oklahoma Cty. "What a great game to have been a part of," said Portland star Jackson. "The momentum kept changing and neither team really had a chance to run away with the game. It just came down to having more in the tank at the end, and that was us."

Oklahoma Cty coach Bob was less enthusiastic about the game. "We had our chances to win the game, but didn't convert them. I'm most bothered that it seemed like we faded down the stretch; I think we may need to spend a little more time working on conditioning in the future. Regardless, it was a great game. Jackson and [Oklahoma Cty star] Golden really put on a show for the fans."

Portland was led by Jackson (24 points, 9 boards, 3 assists, 6 blocks), Smith (15 points, 6 boards, 10 assists, 4 steals, a block), White (9 points, 10 boards, 0 assists, a steal, a block). Oklahoma Cty was led by Golden (28 points, 11 boards, 0 assists, a block), Mcneil (19 points, 1 assists, a steal, a block), Johnson (19 points, 5 boards, 1 assists).

With today's victory, Portland jump to 6-6. They improve to #4 in the Northwest and move up to #10 overall in the Western Conference. Oklahoma Cty are now 6-5 and 5-1 at home after today's defeat. They hold at #2 in the Northwest and stay at #7 overall in the Western Conference.
