CVBL: LA Clippers Steals Spotlight from Charlotte

LA Clippers showed who was the better team tonight with a convincing 104-85 win over Charlotte. Although not exactly a blowout, LA Clippers coach Adnan Bislimovic and his players outplayed Charlotte from start to end. "I was hoping for a better outcome," said Charlotte coach Bob during a post-game interview. "But they just overpowered us, and there was nothing we could do to adjust. Adnan Bislimovic's team was more talented and better-prepared, and it would have taken quite a bit of luck for us to overcome that."

The loss was tough on Charlotte fans, who had expected great things from their team after some offseason moves. "I think reality is starting to sink in," said one team. "We didn't expect to see other teams outplaying us this badly, but LA Clippers sure made their point."

LA Clippers was led by Edmonds (19 points, 34 boards, 4 assists, 2 blocks), Flake (23 points, 1 assists, a block), Downs (12 points, 6 boards, 0 assists, a steal). Charlotte was led by Robinson (9 points, 7 boards, 0 assists, 3 blocks), Olbrantz (18 points, a steal), Lawson (14 points, 5 boards, 0 assists, a steal).

LA Clippers improve to 5-3. They stay at #2 in the Pacific and improve to #5 overall in the Western Conference. With this defeat, Charlotte fall to 3-6 and 2-2 at home. They drop to #4 in the Southeast and move down to #11 overall in the Eastern Conference.
