CVBL: Miami Beats Dallas 110-102
Miami downed Dallas today 110-102, thanks to a solid effort by star Fenty. The game lived up to its hype, with both teams having their moments but neither side able to dominate for any extended length of time. Said Fenty after the game, "This one could have easily gone either way. We're just glad that we came out with the win." Coach Bob echoed the sentiments, saying "Dallas came out strong and ready to play, and we knew from the start that it would be a battle out there. Probably if we played them 10 times, both sides would get five wins. But we got the win today, and that's what counts."
Dallas players were disappointed after the game, and coach Bob had his hands full keeping their spirits up. "They know they played their hearts out today, and that it wasn't enough. That's a tough feeling. Especially for Digiulio, who had one heck of a game but couldn't carry the whole team on his shoulders."
Miami was led by Fenty (21 points, 17 boards, 3 assists, a steal, 5 blocks), Roberson (21 points, 7 boards, 0 assists, 3 blocks), Castro (12 points, 4 assists, 2 steals). Dallas was led by Digiulio (31 points, 5 boards, 4 assists, 2 steals, 4 blocks), Cloud (16 points, 5 boards, 1 assists, a block), Reed (6 points, 5 assists, a steal).
Miami have won their last 6 games and stand at 7-4 and 6-0 at home. They improve to #1 in the Southeast and improve to #2 overall in the Eastern Conference. Dallas drop to 7-4 with this loss. They remain at #3 in the Southwest and hold at #5 overall in the Western Conference.
