CVBL: Sacramento Beats Boston

Boston failed to make the most of their chances, coming up short 113-107 against Sacramento in today's contest. "They got a gift, no question in my mind," grumbled Boston coach Bob. "We outplayed them today, but just couldn't come up with the big plays when we were threatening to score. I just can't wait until the rematch; we'll show them who's really the best."

Sacramento coach Bob saw things a little differently. "I'm proud of our defensive effort today. They avoided giving up the big plays, and really came through in the key situations. Bob may blame his offense, but they'd have been able to score if they didn't have good opposition."

Sacramento was led by Christie (22 points, 8 boards, 1 assists, a steal), Kaplan (13 points, 5 assists, 2 blocks), Weaver (11 points, 2 steals). Boston was led by Mcfadden (12 points, 14 boards, 5 assists, 2 blocks), Knott (16 points, 7 boards, 2 assists, 3 blocks), Mcneil (9 points, 5 boards, 11 assists, a steal).

Sacramento keep rolling with a winning streak of 7 games and improve to 10-2 and 7-1 at home. They stay at #1 in the Pacific and remain at #1 overall in the Western Conference. Boston ended their tear at 5 games, and fall to 6-5. They stay at #3 in the Atlantic and fall to #8 overall in the Eastern Conference.
