CVBL: Dallas Too Much
Dallas ruined the day for Atlanta with a 112-87 blowout. In a pregame interview, Atlanta coach Bob was optimistic about his team's chances. "We've made some mistakes lately, but if everyone does what they are supposed to we can beat Dallas. Don't get me wrong, Bob has built a good team and there's a reason they're the favorites. But we're just as good if we stop making our mental mistakes." Said Atlanta star Mcnair, "Coach is right. We've done some reworking of our talent and our game plan, and we've got what it takes to play with Dallas."
Those predictions turned out to be wishful thinking, as Bob and his team will go back to the drawing boards after getting shredded in today's game.
Dallas was led by Forrester (35 points, a steal), Olguin (6 points, 5 boards, 10 assists, 4 steals, a block), Perry (22 points, 5 boards, 1 assists). Atlanta was led by Mcnair (19 points, 5 boards, 0 assists, 3 blocks), Perry (13 points, 8 boards, 0 assists, 2 blocks), Clay (15 points, 1 assists).
After this victory, Dallas jump to 9-3 and 3-1 at home. They stay at #1 in the Southwest and stay at #2 overall in the Western Conference. Atlanta fall to 4-8 with the defeat. They hold at #3 in the Southeast and stay at #11 overall in the Eastern Conference.
