CVBL: Toronto Pulls Off Upset over Dallas

Toronto pulled off the upset, beating Dallas in a game where nobody gave them much of a chance. Their prospects certainly looked bleak on paper, with most predictions giving Dallas a solid win thanks to better skill at most positions. But head coach Bob came up with a marvelous game plan and kept Dallas coach Bob guessing most of the game. This, as well as a number of solid performances by Wright and others, gave Toronto the edge they needed to come out on top. "I think we caught them by surprise," said Bob after the game. "They played like they expected the win to be handed to them, but we made some adjustments after studying their tendencies and it paid off."

Toronto was led by Wright (6 points, 22 boards, 5 assists, a steal, 2 blocks), Daniels (32 points, a block), Day (17 points, 5 boards, 2 assists, a steal, a block). Dallas was led by Perry (40 points, 0 assists, 2 blocks), Henderson (8 points, 11 boards, 0 assists), Forrester (15 points, 1 assists).

Toronto improve to 6-7 and 4-2 at home. They remain at #4 in the Atlantic and improve to #8 overall in the Eastern Conference. Dallas are now 9-4. They remain at #1 in the Southwest and remain at #2 overall in the Western Conference.
