CVBL: Dallas Over Brooklyn
Dallas, led by Cooper, got the critical win in today's matchup against Brooklyn. After the game, the Dallas star was surrounded by would-be interviewers, a not uncommon sight recently as he has moved into a leading role on his team. After taking a few questions, he met his long-time friend, Brooklyn's Hazan, who had played his heart out during the game only to come up short. "It's always tough when we play, he said. I always like to see him do well, and vice versa. But we can't both come out winners as long as we're on different teams." Rumors continue to circulate about the two friends trying to find their way onto the same team.
Dallas was led by Cooper (6 points, 5 boards, 14 assists, 2 steals, a block), Garcia (20 points, 6 boards, 2 assists, 2 steals), Jenkins (19 points, 10 boards, 1 assists, a block). Brooklyn was led by Hazan (19 points, 2 steals), Duncan (13 points, 9 boards, 1 assists, 2 steals, 2 blocks), Fletcher (12 points, 6 boards, 0 assists).
With today's victory, Dallas are now 6-6. They remain at #4 in the Southwest and improve to #10 overall in the Western Conference. Brooklyn drop to 8-5 and 5-5 at home. They stay at #2 in the Atlantic and hold at #5 overall in the Eastern Conference.
