CVBL: New York Edges Out Miami in Overtime 123 - 113

New York survived a great Miami outing, winning 123-113 in overtime. It was supposed to have been an easy game, but Miami coach Bob had his team well-prepared and able to complete with favored New York. Said Keeney, "We thought Coach's pep talk was a little far-fetched, when he was telling us that we had the talent and game plan to win this game. But he was right; we had our chances to win and didn't. Still we have to feel good about what we proved against a great team like New York."

New York coach Bob was clearly relieved to have gotten the win. "That was a great team we played against today - don't let their record fool you. I thought we played a solid game, and even that wasn't enough to win during regulation."

New York was led by Turner (22 points, 5 boards, 0 assists, a steal, 2 blocks), Powell (12 points, 13 boards, 3 assists, a block), Crawford (17 points, 1 assists, 2 blocks). Miami was led by Keeney (19 points, 8 boards, 0 assists, 2 steals), Colomb (21 points, 2 assists), Romero (13 points, 10 boards, 0 assists, a block).
