CVBL: Utah Pulls Out Win Over Golden State 96-86
Utah beat Golden State today in a 96-86 game that was close the whole way. For much of the game, it looked like Golden State would be able to pull off the win, thanks in large part to an outstanding performance by Casterline. But the tide finally turned in the end, with Utah star Feaster leading his team to victory.
"Definitely a great game," said Utah coach Coach Young after the game. "The fans got their money's worth out of it, and both teams put up a good fight. We're just glad that we were able to finish strong and get the W. Feaster was a big part of that, and I don't think we'd have won without his efforts."
Utah was led by Feaster (28 points, 17 boards, 1 assists, a steal, 4 blocks), Sparenberg (6 points, 5 boards, 15 assists, a steal), Hurd (20 points, 5 boards, 2 assists, 2 blocks). Golden State was led by Casterline (17 points, 5 boards, 0 assists, a steal), Adkins (8 points, 10 boards, 0 assists, a block), Stanford (12 points, 2 steals).
With the victory, Utah are now 7-6 and 3-2 at home. They stay at #2 in the Northwest and improve to #6 overall in the Western Conference. Golden State drop to 5-7. They remain at #4 in the Pacific and drop to #12 overall in the Western Conference.
