CVBL: Sacramento 92, Philadelphia 82

The fans got what they came out for, as Sacramento won a seesaw 92-82 victory over Philadelphia. "What a great game to have been a part of," said Sacramento star Gilliam. "The momentum kept changing and neither team really had a chance to run away with the game. It just came down to having more in the tank at the end, and that was us."

Philadelphia coach Bob was less enthusiastic about the game. "We had our chances to win the game, but didn't convert them. I'm most bothered that it seemed like we faded down the stretch; I think we may need to spend a little more time working on conditioning in the future. Regardless, it was a great game. Gilliam and [Philadelphia star] Ferguson really put on a show for the fans."

Sacramento was led by Gilliam (21 points, 3 assists, a steal, 3 blocks), Sherrill (21 points, 4 steals, a block), Stanford (10 points, 12 boards, 1 assists, a block). Philadelphia was led by Ferguson (14 points, 18 boards, 2 assists, 4 blocks), Austin (11 points), Eatmon (10 points, 5 boards, 2 assists, a block).

Sacramento remain unbeaten and stand at 13-0 and 7-0 at home. They remain at #1 in the Pacific and remain at #1 overall in the Western Conference. With today's defeat, Philadelphia drop to 6-8. They hold at #1 in the Atlantic and stay at #3 overall in the Eastern Conference.
