CVBL: Minnesota Clobbers Utah
Minnesota posted a solid 93-72 win over Utah today. "I don't think we left any doubt over who was the better team today," said Minnesota coach Bob. "We pretty much did whatever we wanted out there, and I don't think they ever figured out what to do about Cook's play."
It will be a tough task for Utah coach Coach Young to get his team up for their next game. "We really came in believing that we had a shot to win this one, but obviously that didn't happen. They outplayed us from the start, and there weren't too many happy faces in the locker room afterwards."
Minnesota was led by Cook (21 points, 0 assists, a block), Raymond (22 points), Fernandez (9 points, 1 assists, a steal, a block). Utah was led by Ensley (17 points), Bush (8 points, 10 boards, 1 assists, 2 blocks), Morris (15 points, 0 assists, 2 blocks).
Minnesota improve to 7-4 and 6-1 at home with this victory. They hold at #2 in the Northwest and move up to #5 overall in the Western Conference. Utah drop to 6-5. They stay at #3 in the Northwest and fall to #9 overall in the Western Conference.
