CVBL: Brooklyn Outplays a Better Utah Team 100-91
A much-improved Brooklyn team pulled off the 100-91 upset of Utah today. "That's the best we've played all season," said Brooklyn coach Bob. "I've seen that potential in us all along, but for some reason it hasn't come out during games. Hopefully this outing can be the turning point for us that we can build on in future games."
Utah was caught off-guard by new-look Brooklyn. "What we got out there today wasn't what we had seen before or on tape, even in their best games. So while we always try to prepare for the worst, we had no idea that they could play as well as they did today. I still think we can beat them, and next time we'll have an idea what to look for."
Brooklyn was led by Hester (34 points, 0 assists, a steal, a block), Spring (20 points, 1 assists, a block), Scott (16 points, 3 assists, a block). Utah was led by Robinson (38 points, 3 assists, a block), Cummings (14 points, 4 blocks), Patton (19 points, a steal).
Brooklyn are now 5-7 and 3-2 at home. They advance to #2 in the Atlantic and advance to #8 overall in the Eastern Conference. Utah halted their tear at 6 games, and fall to 10-3. They hold at #1 in the Northwest and move down to #3 overall in the Western Conference.
