CVBL: Bob Sweats as San Antonio Escapes Denver
A great game by Gorman saved San Antonio from upset, instead getting a 110-102 overtime win over Denver. "I guess we got a bit overconfident and overlooked them," said San Antonio coach Bob. "You should never believe your own press, but that's what we did. Fortunately we had Gorman out there, who was on fire from the start and whose intensity gradually rubbed off on the rest of the players. It's a shame it took them so long to wake up, but we'll be happy with the win."
San Antonio was led by Gorman (10 points, 9 boards, 13 assists, a block), Owens (25 points, 5 boards, 2 assists), Thompson (11 points, 9 boards, 1 assists, 4 blocks). Denver was led by Davis (12 points, 16 boards, 3 assists, a steal, a block), Beachum (26 points, 2 assists), Wise (5 points, 5 boards, 10 assists, 2 steals, a block).
