CVBL: Minnesota Snatches Win over Milwaukee

A solid outing by Jaramillo led Minnesota to a 99-89 win over Milwaukee. "Take away Jaramillo, and we'd have won this thing," said Milwaukee coach Bob. "It was a very close game most of the way, and he was the one that put Minnesota over the top. I thought we had the right game plan and executed well. What's sad is that I don't know what we'd do differently next time, except for hoping for a more mortal performance by him."

Minnesota coach Bob was happy for the win, but concerned about the team's play. "I didn't think this was a very good team win. Our players seemed tempted to sit around and watch Jaramillo do his stuff. That was enough for the win today, but on another day maybe Jaramillo will be injured or our opponents can counter him, and we'll need the rest of the players to step up as well."

Minnesota was led by Jaramillo (14 points, 9 boards, 0 assists, 2 steals, 6 blocks), Walz (9 points, 6 boards, 11 assists, 2 steals, a block), Raymond (25 points, 7 boards, 0 assists). Milwaukee was led by Young (13 points, 13 boards, 0 assists, a block), Yates (16 points, 7 boards, 3 assists, a block), Mcduffie (14 points, 9 boards, 1 assists, 2 steals).

Minnesota improve to 8-4 with this win. They move up to #1 in the Northwest and advance to #3 overall in the Western Conference. After today's loss, Milwaukee drop to 6-6 and 3-3 at home. They stay at #2 in the Central and fall to #8 overall in the Eastern Conference.
