CVBL: Put it on the Board: Dallas Wins

A great game by Digiulio led Dallas to a 119-107 defeat of Houston. Although Houston certainly planned for Digiulio in their pre-game strategy, stopping him during the game turned out to be more of a challenge. "We thought we knew how to beat Dallas, but we were dead wrong," said Houston coach Bob. "We figured we'd try to put them out of their game plan and try to limit Digiulio's effectiveness, but it simply didn't happen - he was just too good."

Said Digiulio, "I knew I had a target on my back, and took it as a challenge. If they're going to change their game plan to stop me, it gives me that much more desire to step up and perservere. Anyway, they know what I can do now, so we'll see if they dare try this strategy again." Tune in next time.

Dallas was led by Digiulio (31 points, 9 boards, 6 assists, 3 blocks), Lenahan (10 points, 15 assists, a steal), Dossman (29 points, a steal). Houston was led by Howard (23 points, 5 assists, a steal, 3 blocks), Taylor (13 points, 6 boards, 1 assists, a steal, 2 blocks), Aguilar (21 points, a steal, a block).

With today's win, Dallas jump to 10-4 and 6-1 at home. They stay at #2 in the Southwest and hold at #4 overall in the Western Conference. Houston fall to 8-6 after this loss. They drop to #4 in the Southwest and stay at #6 overall in the Western Conference.
