CVBL: Houston Over Orlando 91-82
Lewis led Houston to victory today over Orlando in a 91-82 game. "It was a tough one to lose," said losing coach Bob. "I thought we had a great chance going in, and even now I think we'd have a great chance in a rematch. But Lewis made the difference for his team, and we really didn't have an answer today."
Houston coach Bob was equally admiring of his star. "Orlando were very well prepared for this game, and our boys weren't really ready for what they faced out there. I like to believe that we'd play a better all-around game when we play them again, but we'll be happy riding Lewis and getting the win today."
Houston was led by Lewis (29 points, 3 steals), Fox (11 points, 3 steals, a block), Laboy (6 points, 4 assists, 2 steals). Orlando was led by Wright (22 points, 8 boards, 2 assists, a block), Vancourt (20 points, 2 assists, 4 steals), Mcfadden (7 points, 5 boards, 5 assists, 3 steals).
With this win, Houston jump to 8-7 and 3-2 at home. They hold at #3 in the Southwest and move up to #8 overall in the Western Conference. After today's loss, Orlando stand at 7-6. They fall to #2 in the Southeast and fall to #7 overall in the Eastern Conference.
