CVBL: Put it on the Board: Sacramento Wins
Sacramento showed their mettle today with a convincing 120-109 win over Phoenix. "After some of the games we've had, I think we've left some doubt as to whether we can solidly beat anybody," said head coach Bob after the game. "I don't know that one game will erase those doubts, but I can certainly see the difference in the locker room."
The win came largely as the result of a great effort by Christie, the Sacramento star. Said Bob of him, "The game would have gone down to the wire without Christie's efforts today. He really made the difference between another tough battle and a dominating win."
Sacramento was led by Christie (25 points, 11 boards, 3 assists), Coleman (22 points, 7 boards, 1 assists, a steal, a block), Smith (18 points, 5 assists, a steal). Phoenix was led by Oh (17 points, 5 boards, 6 assists, a block), Calloway (23 points, a steal), Jeanlouis (13 points, 9 boards, 2 assists).
Sacramento jump to 12-3 with today's win. They remain at #1 in the Pacific and hold at #1 overall in the Western Conference. With the loss, Phoenix drop to 5-9 and 1-6 at home. They stay at #4 in the Pacific and stay at #13 overall in the Western Conference.
