CVBL: Boston Storms Past Oklahoma Cty
Dixon had a great game today to lead Boston to a 117-90 rout of Oklahoma Cty. "Dixon played his heart out today, and the rest of the team followed," said Bob of his star's performance. "Admittedly this wasn't the toughest competition we've ever faced, but it's great to see a game where everything works as planned."
Faces were a bit longer in the Oklahoma Cty locker room. "Everybody knew that Oklahoma Cty are a great team and that it would take a flawless game on our part and some luck to beat them. But to lose by this kind of margin is disheartening. We were just completely ineffective out there. I'll have to look over the films and try to turn this into a learning experience. Certainly I can pick up some tips from Bob's coaching."
Boston was led by Dixon (12 points, 5 boards, 4 assists, 2 steals, 2 blocks), Mcneil (11 points, 9 assists, a block), Mcfadden (8 points, 9 boards, 4 assists, 4 blocks). Oklahoma Cty was led by Plungis (9 points, 11 boards, 2 assists, 2 steals, a block), Hayes (8 points, 2 blocks), Pollard (12 points, 6 boards, 1 assists, a block).
After today's victory, Boston are now 8-6 and 2-2 at home. They hold at #3 in the Atlantic and remain at #7 overall in the Eastern Conference. Oklahoma Cty are now 7-6. They drop to #3 in the Northwest and move down to #9 overall in the Western Conference.
