CVBL: Dallas Beats New Orleans

Dallas downed New Orleans today 117-116, thanks to a solid effort by star Garcia. The game lived up to its hype, with both teams having their moments but neither side able to dominate for any extended length of time. Said Garcia after the game, "This one could have easily gone either way. We're just glad that we came out with the win." Coach Bob echoed the sentiments, saying "New Orleans came out strong and ready to play, and we knew from the start that it would be a battle out there. Probably if we played them 10 times, both sides would get five wins. But we got the win today, and that's what counts."

New Orleans players were disappointed after the game, and coach Bob had his hands full keeping their spirits up. "They know they played their hearts out today, and that it wasn't enough. That's a tough feeling. Especially for Ensley, who had one heck of a game but couldn't carry the whole team on his shoulders."

Dallas was led by Garcia (25 points, 10 boards, 2 assists, a steal), Jenkins (24 points, 9 boards, 3 assists, a block), Clark (21 points, 2 blocks). New Orleans was led by Ensley (31 points, a steal), Jaramillo (17 points, 5 boards, 2 assists, 2 steals, a block), Price (6 points, 2 steals).

Dallas jump to 8-6 and 5-2 at home. They move up to #2 in the Southwest and improve to #5 overall in the Western Conference. New Orleans fall to 8-6 after this loss. They drop to #3 in the Southwest and move down to #7 overall in the Western Conference.
