CVBL: Indiana Pulls out the Win over Memphis

Indiana downed Memphis today 107-98, thanks to a solid effort by star Cato. The game lived up to its hype, with both teams having their moments but neither side able to dominate for any extended length of time. Said Cato after the game, "This one could have easily gone either way. We're just glad that we came out with the win." Coach Coach Hitch echoed the sentiments, saying "Memphis came out strong and ready to play, and we knew from the start that it would be a battle out there. Probably if we played them 10 times, both sides would get five wins. But we got the win today, and that's what counts."

Memphis players were disappointed after the game, and coach Bob had his hands full keeping their spirits up. "They know they played their hearts out today, and that it wasn't enough. That's a tough feeling. Especially for Edwards, who had one heck of a game but couldn't carry the whole team on his shoulders."

Indiana was led by Cato (23 points, 5 assists, a steal), Archie (11 points, 2 steals), Williams (20 points, 2 blocks). Memphis was led by Edwards (23 points, 10 boards, 0 assists, 4 blocks), Smith (18 points, 11 assists, a steal), Beard (17 points, a steal).

Indiana stand at 9-5 and 6-1 at home after today's win. They hold at #3 in the Central and stay at #5 overall in the Eastern Conference. Memphis stand at 5-8. They stay at #5 in the Southwest and fall to #12 overall in the Western Conference.
