CVBL: Toronto 115, Detroit 99

In one of the most important games of the season for both teams, Toronto upstaged Detroit 115-99. Showing more glitter than a Brittany Spears concert, perfect Toronto execution, a brilliant game by Horne, and impeccable play-calling by Bob provided all the right ingredients for a big win.

Bigelow was key for Detroit, but after the game he looked like somebody had just run over his dog. "I thought we could do it. The whole game I was still thinking we were going to win. I guess that's the difference between thinking it and doing it. Give Toronto credit - they are nothing but class. I just feel sorry for coach David Smith. He had us ready and we let him down."

Toronto was led by Horne (10 points, 12 boards, 1 assists, 4 blocks), Moore (24 points, 5 boards, 1 assists), James (18 points, a steal). Detroit was led by Bigelow (25 points, 9 boards, 1 assists, a block), Merriman (25 points), Johnson (19 points, 0 assists).

Toronto improve to 8-6 and 4-1 at home. They move up to #2 in the Atlantic and remain at #6 overall in the Eastern Conference. Detroit are now 8-6 with today's loss. They hold at #1 in the Central and move down to #3 overall in the Eastern Conference.
