CVBL: LA Clippers Too Much

The San Antonio coach and players looked bewildered today, as they were steamrolled 94-60 by LA Clippers. "I'm not sure they knew what hit them," said LA Clippers coach Adnan Bislimovic. "It didn't really seem like they came out with much of a plan, instead playing like a pickup team. I hate to criticize [San Antonio coach] Bob, but I don't think he did his job preparing for this game."

That has been an increasingly frequent impression in San Antonio games, leading many supporters to call for the coach's head. The players tend to avoid the matter, but today was the final straw for San Antonio star Wood. "We couldn't believe what we were hearing in practices. Stuff like, 'just go out and do your best and good things will happen.' He didn't show us any film of LA Clippers, and we really came out today with no idea what to expect. I try to be a team player and all, but when the coach isn't doing his job, we're not going to win."

LA Clippers was led by Boswell (10 points, 17 assists), Minor (16 points, 9 boards, 1 assists, a steal, 3 blocks), Quarles (23 points, a steal, a block). San Antonio was led by Wood (18 points, a block), Ring (12 points, 1 assists, a block), Sessoms (7 points, 12 boards, 0 assists).

LA Clippers have won their last 13 games and stand at 13-1 and 7-1 at home. They stay at #1 in the Pacific and hold at #1 overall in the Western Conference. San Antonio fall to 5-10 after today's loss. They hold at #5 in the Southwest and remain at #12 overall in the Western Conference.
