CVBL: Sacramento Tops Detroit
A great game plan and solid execution gave Sacramento a 100-91 win over Detroit. The game looked like a toss-up on paper, with both teams having strengths and weaknesses. But Sacramento coach Bob had his team better-prepared, and the difference was clear when the teams began play. "It's embarrasing to admit, but I was outcoached today," said Detroit coach David Smith. "Bob had his team prepared perfectly, and his players did exactly what they were supposed to do."
Sacramento was led by Brown (18 points, 10 boards, 0 assists, 2 blocks), Obrien (22 points, a steal, 2 blocks), Heath (12 points, 9 assists, a steal). Detroit was led by Merriman (17 points, 1 assists, 3 steals, 5 blocks), Bigelow (18 points, 15 boards, 2 assists), Marko (14 points, 0 assists, 3 blocks).
Sacramento stand at 8-8 after this win. They remain at #3 in the Pacific and stay at #10 overall in the Western Conference. Detroit are now 8-7 and 5-2 at home with the loss. They hold at #1 in the Central and hold at #3 overall in the Eastern Conference.
