CVBL: LA Clippers Snatches Win over Minnesota
Minnesota failed to make the most of their chances, coming up short 107-100 against LA Clippers in today's contest. "They got a gift, no question in my mind," grumbled Minnesota coach Bob. "We outplayed them today, but just couldn't come up with the big plays when we were threatening to score. I just can't wait until the rematch; we'll show them who's really the best."
LA Clippers coach Bob saw things a little differently. "I'm proud of our defensive effort today. They avoided giving up the big plays, and really came through in the key situations. Bob may blame his offense, but they'd have been able to score if they didn't have good opposition."
LA Clippers was led by Brown (34 points, 11 boards, 1 assists, a steal, a block), Patrick (28 points, 2 assists), Hayes (6 points, 13 assists, 2 steals). Minnesota was led by Smith (27 points, 2 assists), Daniels (10 points, 8 boards, 5 assists, 3 blocks), Dirks (18 points, 5 boards, 5 assists, a steal).
LA Clippers are now 10-5. They stay at #2 in the Pacific and improve to #5 overall in the Western Conference. Minnesota fall to 10-6 and 7-4 at home with this defeat. They hold at #2 in the Northwest and drop to #6 overall in the Western Conference.
