CVBL: Memphis Beats Toronto
A great game plan and solid execution gave Memphis a 105-104 win over Toronto. The game looked like a toss-up on paper, with both teams having strengths and weaknesses. But Memphis coach Bob had his team better-prepared, and the difference was clear when the teams began play. "It's embarrasing to admit, but I was outcoached today," said Toronto coach Bob. "Bob had his team prepared perfectly, and his players did exactly what they were supposed to do."
Memphis was led by Hunter (9 points, 5 steals), Canul (11 points, 13 boards, 1 assists, a steal, 3 blocks), Thomas (17 points, 2 assists, a block). Toronto was led by Moore (45 points, 24 boards, 3 assists), Chiles (9 points, 9 boards, 9 assists, 3 steals), Whitaker (13 points, 5 boards, 3 assists, a steal).
Memphis have been victorious in the past 7 games and improve to 13-3 and 7-1 at home. They hold at #1 in the Southwest and stay at #2 overall in the Western Conference. Toronto fall to 8-8. They hold at #3 in the Atlantic and stay at #6 overall in the Eastern Conference.
