Coming in as heavy underdogs, Denver turned some heads today with a solid 106-99 win over Dallas. Said one broadcaster, "I didn't know Denver were that good, quite frankly. They really haven't done much all season, but the way they came in and handled Dallas showed what they're capable of."

The thoughts were echoed by Dallas coach Bob. "We had pretty thorough film sessions coming into the game, and we never saw them execute that well. [Denver coach] Bob did a great job getting them ready, and we'll have to see if this was a one-time performance or if they can maintain that level of play."

Denver was led by Smith (8 points, 10 boards, 10 assists, 3 steals), Drew (13 points, a block), Conley (21 points, a steal). Dallas was led by Dossman (25 points, 1 assists), Cloud (18 points, 0 assists, a block), Digiulio (16 points, 1 assists).

After this win, Denver improve to 8-7. They hold at #3 in the Northwest and hold at #9 overall in the Western Conference. Dallas fall to 10-6 and 6-2 at home. They stay at #2 in the Southwest and move down to #5 overall in the Western Conference.
