CVBL: Bob Watches Sacramento Win
Sacramento star Weaver led his team to a win today in a key game against Oklahoma Cty. Although standings were at stake, the game was as much about bragging rights as anything. The teams have a long history against each other that began when coaches Bob and Bob traded insults after an apparently intentional injury to one of Bob's players. Although Bob has long denied that there was any malicious intent, Sacramento fans don't believe it and turn out in large numbers whenever Oklahoma Cty comes to town.
Sacramento was led by Weaver (8 points, 14 assists), Crandell (20 points, 9 boards, 0 assists, a steal, a block), Christie (24 points, 7 boards, 0 assists). Oklahoma Cty was led by Plungis (31 points, 8 boards, 2 assists, a steal, a block), Valentine (18 points, 13 boards, 0 assists, a steal, 4 blocks), Pollard (14 points, 2 steals, 3 blocks).
Sacramento improve to 13-4 and 8-1 at home. They remain at #1 in the Pacific and stay at #1 overall in the Western Conference. Oklahoma Cty are now 8-7. They hold at #3 in the Northwest and fall to #8 overall in the Western Conference.
