CVBL: LA Clippers Defeats New Orleans 120-113
LA Clippers overcame a great game by Ziegler, beating New Orleans 120-113. "It's a team sport," said losing coach Bob. "If we had another couple players like Ziegler out there, we'd have won this game easily. But we didn't, so we didn't." Bob has been under fire lately, and the lackluster performance by his players (save Ziegler) certainly doesn't improve his job security any.
The normally-quiet Ziegler was less than satisfied after the game. "I feel betrayed - like I did my best and my teammates didn't. I don't know if it was coach's fault for not getting the team up, or if the other players just all had an off day at the same time. But this was a close game, we had our chances, and we didn't execute when we needed."
LA Clippers was led by Brown (25 points, 7 boards, 3 assists, 2 blocks), Hayes (11 points, 4 steals), Reese (14 points, 5 boards, 6 assists, a steal, 2 blocks). New Orleans was led by Ziegler (31 points, 0 assists, a block), Feaster (13 points, 7 boards, 0 assists, 2 blocks), Fleming (15 points, 1 assists, a block).
LA Clippers jump to 11-5 with today's victory. They hold at #2 in the Pacific and remain at #5 overall in the Western Conference. New Orleans stand at 6-10 and 3-6 at home with today's defeat. They remain at #4 in the Southwest and hold at #12 overall in the Western Conference.
