CVBL: Orlando Over Oklahoma Cty 90-82
The fans got what they came out for, as Orlando won a seesaw 90-82 victory over Oklahoma Cty. "What a great game to have been a part of," said Orlando star Moore. "The momentum kept changing and neither team really had a chance to run away with the game. It just came down to having more in the tank at the end, and that was us."
Oklahoma Cty coach Bob was less enthusiastic about the game. "We had our chances to win the game, but didn't convert them. I'm most bothered that it seemed like we faded down the stretch; I think we may need to spend a little more time working on conditioning in the future. Regardless, it was a great game. Moore and [Oklahoma Cty star] Plungis really put on a show for the fans."
Orlando was led by Moore (9 points, 15 boards, 0 assists, 3 blocks), Simpson (22 points, 0 assists, a block), Farmer (11 points, 11 boards, 3 assists, a block). Oklahoma Cty was led by Plungis (9 points, 17 boards, 0 assists, 2 blocks), Valentine (8 points, 5 boards, 2 assists, 6 blocks), Pollard (14 points, 6 boards, 1 assists).
Orlando are now 8-9 after this victory. They advance to #1 in the Southeast and move up to #3 overall in the Eastern Conference. Oklahoma Cty fall to 8-8 and 6-3 at home with this defeat. They hold at #3 in the Northwest and move down to #9 overall in the Western Conference.
