CVBL: Atlanta 106, Indiana 90
It has been a nightmare season for veteran coach Coach Hitch and his team. The bright points have been few and far between, as the team is looking for somewhere to hide. Today's game was equally painful, as the team opened up strong but collapsed down the stretch, failing to take advantages of numerous opportunities to get back in the game. Jackson helped put the nail in the coffin today with his outstanding game.
"Coach Hitch talked a lot of junk before the start of the season." stated Atlanta Jackson. "They may be one of the worst teams in the league, but we know that everyone in that locker room wants to play just a little harder when they see Indiana on their schedule."
"Sure, they do stink." added head coach Bob, "but look at what happened when teams have been overconfident against them. Not that I can really blame them. If we were that pathetic, I think I would rather play all rookies and lose that way then be embarrassed."
Atlanta was led by Jackson (13 points, 10 boards, 3 assists, 3 blocks), Simon (24 points, 0 assists, a steal), Souza (18 points, 2 assists, a steal). Indiana was led by Wade (17 points, 11 boards, 0 assists, 2 blocks), Mack (7 points, 11 assists, 2 steals), Battle (18 points, a block).
Atlanta are now 10-6 with the win. They remain at #1 in the Southeast and stay at #2 overall in the Eastern Conference. With today's defeat, Indiana stand at 9-7 and 4-3 at home. They stay at #2 in the Central and stay at #4 overall in the Eastern Conference.
