Minnesota came up short today against Phoenix, falling 108-98. "That was a really tough game to lose," said Minnesota coach Bob after the game. "We came in thinking we could beat these guys. And we really played them well. But a few too many mistakes on our part kept us from getting the 'W'." One player who definitely can't be too downcast is Lundy, whose outstanding game was one of the bright points for Minnesota and caused some other teams to take notice.

Minnesota was led by Lundy (23 points, 4 blocks), Dirks (16 points, 7 boards, 4 assists, 3 steals), Thomas (12 points, 7 boards, 1 assists, a steal, a block).
With this victory, Phoenix jump to 12-5. They improve to #2 in the Pacific and advance to #4 overall in the Western Conference. Minnesota fall to 7-12 and 4-5 at home with the loss. They hold at #5 in the Northwest and remain at #12 overall in the Western Conference.
