CVBL: Sacramento Beats Phoenix

Sacramento beat Phoenix today in a 105-95 game that was close the whole way. For much of the game, it looked like Phoenix would be able to pull off the win, thanks in large part to an outstanding performance by Dupree. But the tide finally turned in the end, with Sacramento star Davis leading his team to victory.

"Definitely a great game," said Sacramento coach Bob after the game. "The fans got their money's worth out of it, and both teams put up a good fight. We're just glad that we were able to finish strong and get the W. Davis was a big part of that, and I don't think we'd have won without his efforts."

Sacramento was led by Davis (22 points, 12 boards, 2 assists, a steal, a block), Sherrill (22 points, 2 assists, 3 blocks), Taylor (8 points, a steal). Phoenix was led by Dupree (16 points, 20 boards, 0 assists), Hughes (15 points, a steal), Norman (14 points, 3 blocks).

Sacramento improve to 14-4 and 7-1 at home. They hold at #1 in the Pacific and hold at #1 overall in the Western Conference. With this loss, Phoenix drop to 12-6. They drop to #3 in the Pacific and move down to #5 overall in the Western Conference.
