CVBL: Indiana 102, Toronto 89

Indiana showed their mettle today with a convincing 102-89 win over Toronto. "After some of the games we've had, I think we've left some doubt as to whether we can solidly beat anybody," said head coach Coach Hitch after the game. "I don't know that one game will erase those doubts, but I can certainly see the difference in the locker room."

The win came largely as the result of a great effort by Bowles, the Indiana star. Said Coach Hitch of him, "The game would have gone down to the wire without Bowles's efforts today. He really made the difference between another tough battle and a dominating win."

Indiana was led by Bowles (29 points, 8 boards, 0 assists, 2 blocks), Borenstein (8 points, 16 boards, 1 assists, a block), Owens (7 points, 2 assists, a steal, 3 blocks). Toronto was led by Boll (24 points, 3 assists), Champion (15 points, 2 steals), Ott (21 points).

Indiana improve to 10-7. They remain at #3 in the Central and stay at #6 overall in the Eastern Conference. Toronto drop to 6-12 and 4-6 at home. They remain at #5 in the Atlantic and hold at #13 overall in the Eastern Conference.
