CVBL: Denver Downs Atlanta
Denver played a solid game today, beating Atlanta 110-91. Atlanta players and fans were expecting the game to be a bit closer, but everything went well for Denver today. "It was really frustrating," said Atlanta star Mcnair. "I thought we were going to be ready for this game, but we just couldn't do anything against them." Coach Bob seemed perplexed early on, but made a few adjustments late in the game that were too little, too late in this game but may help his side out next time these two teams meet.
Denver was led by Phillips (11 points, 15 boards, 4 assists, 2 blocks), White (17 points, 9 boards, 3 assists, a block), Banks (21 points, 1 assists, 3 steals). Atlanta was led by Mcnair (16 points, 1 assists, a steal, 6 blocks), Parker (6 points, 7 assists, 2 steals), Souza (20 points).
With the victory, Denver stand at 11-7. They stay at #1 in the Northwest and improve to #2 overall in the Western Conference. After today's defeat, Atlanta are now 7-11 and 3-8 at home. They stay at #3 in the Southeast and hold at #10 overall in the Eastern Conference.
