CVBL: LA Clippers Beats Cleveland 95-86
The fans got what they came out for, as LA Clippers won a seesaw 95-86 victory over Cleveland. "What a great game to have been a part of," said LA Clippers star Brown. "The momentum kept changing and neither team really had a chance to run away with the game. It just came down to having more in the tank at the end, and that was us."
Cleveland coach Bob was less enthusiastic about the game. "We had our chances to win the game, but didn't convert them. I'm most bothered that it seemed like we faded down the stretch; I think we may need to spend a little more time working on conditioning in the future. Regardless, it was a great game. Brown and [Cleveland star] Martin really put on a show for the fans."
LA Clippers was led by Brown (24 points, 11 boards, 0 assists, 2 steals, a block), Reese (17 points, 8 boards, 2 assists, a steal, 3 blocks), Hayes (7 points, 9 assists). Cleveland was led by Martin (25 points, a steal, 2 blocks), Berry (18 points, 5 boards, 2 assists, a steal), Stubbs (8 points, 13 boards, 0 assists, a steal).
LA Clippers jump to 12-5 with this win. They hold at #2 in the Pacific and hold at #5 overall in the Western Conference. Cleveland stand at 8-10 and 6-4 at home. They stay at #3 in the Central and remain at #8 overall in the Eastern Conference.
