CVBL: Oklahoma Cty Cruises Past Brooklyn
Everything clicked for Oklahoma Cty today, as they soundly beat Brooklyn 105-92. Brooklyn looked beaten for most of the afternoon, and the final outcome was in little doubt. "I thought we came out ready to play, but we were just overmatched," said Brooklyn coach Bob. "It's kind of demoralizing to lose that way, knowing that you played your best and it wasn't nearly enough." Bob now has the unenviable task of getting his team ready to face another day.
Oklahoma Cty coach Bob couldn't be happier, though. His game plan was executed perfectly, and his players were able to dominate all aspects of the game. "It's great to get a win like this, when everything went according to plan."
Oklahoma Cty was led by Joseph (22 points, 2 assists, 3 blocks), Johnson (18 points, 0 assists, a block), Golden (15 points, 7 boards, 1 assists). Brooklyn was led by Alves (16 points, 8 boards, 2 assists, 2 blocks), Spring (20 points, a steal, a block), Jeanlouis (10 points, 2 assists, a block).
With today's win, Oklahoma Cty are now 11-8. They remain at #3 in the Northwest and hold at #7 overall in the Western Conference. Brooklyn are now 7-10 and 4-4 at home. They hold at #2 in the Atlantic and remain at #9 overall in the Eastern Conference.
