CVBL: LA Clippers Wins Over Chicago 106-89

Brown went on fire for 43 points, leading LA Clippers to a 106-89 win over Chicago. "I've never seen anything like that," said Chicago star Sims. "Brown just flat-out dominated, and there was nothing any of us could do about it." Agreed coach Bob, "He's an excellent talent with an excellent coach. I'm afraid that we'll be seeing more of him down the road."

Brown refused to get caught up in the excitement, however. "I just did what coach told me to do," he said. "And we couldn't have won without my teammates doing their best as well." While true, Brown certainly increased the margin of victory from a close call to a solid win.

LA Clippers was led by Brown (43 points, 20 boards, 2 assists, a steal, a block), Gleeson (18 points, 10 boards, 0 assists), Hayes (7 points, 8 assists, a steal). Chicago was led by Sims (18 points, 7 boards, 3 assists, 2 blocks), Johnson (5 points, 12 assists, a steal, a block), Smith (12 points, 2 assists, a steal, 3 blocks).

LA Clippers are now 13-5 and 6-2 at home with this win. They hold at #2 in the Pacific and stay at #5 overall in the Western Conference. After today's loss, Chicago stand at 6-11. They stay at #4 in the Central and hold at #10 overall in the Eastern Conference.
