CVBL: LA Clippers Over Dallas 99-96

LA Clippers overcame a great game by Bernard, beating Dallas 99-96. "It's a team sport," said losing coach Bob. "If we had another couple players like Bernard out there, we'd have won this game easily. But we didn't, so we didn't." Bob has been under fire lately, and the lackluster performance by his players (save Bernard) certainly doesn't improve his job security any.

The normally-quiet Bernard was less than satisfied after the game. "I feel betrayed - like I did my best and my teammates didn't. I don't know if it was coach's fault for not getting the team up, or if the other players just all had an off day at the same time. But this was a close game, we had our chances, and we didn't execute when we needed."

LA Clippers was led by Edmonds (17 points, 28 boards, 1 assists, 3 blocks), Newton (9 points, 5 boards, 20 assists, 3 steals), Jenkins (27 points, 1 assists, a steal, a block). Dallas was led by Bernard (17 points, 15 boards, 2 assists, a steal, a block), Clark (31 points, a block), Jenkins (18 points, 1 assists, 5 blocks).

After this win, LA Clippers stand at 11-6. They remain at #2 in the Pacific and stay at #5 overall in the Western Conference. Dallas drop to 9-10 and 6-3 at home after today's loss. They drop to #5 in the Southwest and drop to #10 overall in the Western Conference.
