CVBL: Sacramento Wins Confidently Over Atlanta 120-106
Everything clicked for Sacramento today, as they soundly beat Atlanta 120-106. Atlanta looked beaten for most of the afternoon, and the final outcome was in little doubt. "I thought we came out ready to play, but we were just overmatched," said Atlanta coach Bob. "It's kind of demoralizing to lose that way, knowing that you played your best and it wasn't nearly enough." Bob now has the unenviable task of getting his team ready to face another day.
Sacramento coach Bob couldn't be happier, though. His game plan was executed perfectly, and his players were able to dominate all aspects of the game. "It's great to get a win like this, when everything went according to plan."
Sacramento was led by Dobbs (25 points, a steal, 2 blocks), Boone (26 points, 3 assists, a steal), Obrien (19 points, 2 assists). Atlanta was led by Fanny (26 points), Blackman (13 points, 13 boards, 0 assists, 4 blocks), Harriott (22 points, a block).
Sacramento keep rolling with a winning streak of 6 games and improve to 11-8. They hold at #3 in the Pacific and remain at #7 overall in the Western Conference. After this defeat, Atlanta are now 8-11 and 8-4 at home. They stay at #4 in the Southeast and remain at #10 overall in the Eastern Conference.
