CVBL: Bob Gets Big Win over Miami
San Antonio brushed past an overmatched Miami team today 122-109. Always politically correct, San Antonio coach Bob stated simply "We just managed to do what we needed to get done out there. The players had solid execution all around, and Feaster's effort helped set the pace. Miami is a team we've had success against in the past, which I think gave us a bit more confidence coming in."
Miami coach Bob was a little more frank. "We knew going in that we'd need a miracle to beat San Antonio, and we didn't get it. They have better players and a better coach, and did what they were supposed to do out there. I'm just glad the final score wasn't even worse."
San Antonio was led by Feaster (19 points, 16 boards, 2 assists, a block), Mackey (35 points, 1 assists), Logan (21 points, 7 boards, 0 assists, a block). Miami was led by Durham (32 points, 6 assists), Hargrove (14 points, 4 assists, a steal, 4 blocks), Cordner (14 points, 5 boards, 0 assists).
San Antonio jump to 11-7 and 8-4 at home after the win. They remain at #2 in the Southwest and stay at #6 overall in the Western Conference. Miami have lost their last 6 games and are now 8-12. They move down to #5 in the Southeast and drop to #11 overall in the Eastern Conference.
