CVBL: Denver Go Up 1-0 in CVBL Finals
Denver are ahead of Brooklyn in the CVBL Finals 1-0, as Brooklyn came up short today in a 113-104 game. "That was a really tough game to lose," said Brooklyn coach Bob after the game. "We came in thinking we could beat these guys. And we really played them well. But a few too many mistakes on our part kept us from getting the 'W'." One player who definitely can't be too downcast is Hazan, whose outstanding game was one of the bright points for Brooklyn and caused some other teams to take notice.
Denver was led by Hayes (10 points, 5 boards, 6 assists, 3 blocks), Simmons (19 points, 8 boards, 0 assists, a block), Stith (25 points, 0 assists). Brooklyn was led by Hazan (18 points, 2 steals), Goltz (16 points, 3 assists, 2 blocks), Tucker (20 points).
