CVBL: Brooklyn 105, Golden State 98

Golden State failed to make the most of their chances, coming up short 105-98 against Brooklyn in today's contest. "They got a gift, no question in my mind," grumbled Golden State coach Perez Suarez. "We outplayed them today, but just couldn't come up with the big plays when we were threatening to score. I just can't wait until the rematch; we'll show them who's really the best."

Brooklyn coach Bob saw things a little differently. "I'm proud of our defensive effort today. They avoided giving up the big plays, and really came through in the key situations. Perez Suarez may blame his offense, but they'd have been able to score if they didn't have good opposition."

Brooklyn was led by Gray (15 points, 11 boards, 2 assists, a steal), Duncan (17 points, 0 assists, 2 blocks), Drew (5 points, a steal, 5 blocks). Golden State was led by Odell (16 points, 17 boards, 3 assists, a block), Simmons (15 points, 9 boards, 4 assists, a block), Chiles (17 points, a steal).

Brooklyn jump to 15-11 and 9-6 at home. They remain at #2 in the Atlantic and stay at #6 overall in the Eastern Conference. Golden State drop to 8-14 with the defeat. They hold at #4 in the Pacific and stay at #13 overall in the Western Conference.
